Desires Without End or Just Without Merit

So if I made alyah to Israel, how long would it take to grow bored? How soon would my wife find me spending my Sunday mornings in a Jerusalem cafe... hidden down some two thousand year old alley, drinking cappucinos, reading the NY Times - focus shifting between the travel and arts sections... and daydream of living somewhere else? Does it end? -DN

" Give me an unsatisfaction and I will move the world" hum...Confucius?.....Archimede?....
Cut Bank is the last best place my friend...Well, I'm going to Tuscany next month (my family's roots), I will tell you about it, I bet it's a wonderful place as well.
Is alyah a definitive decision? I mean...Do you really thinking of going to Israel to definitively stay there?

I dunno, North. I can see you anywhere in America (cept maybe Wyoming) or maybe even Europe, but I just don't see you enjoying Israel. Course I haven't seen you in years, but there's something about that rubs me the wrong way.

I am serious about making alyah, but it will have to wait until my children are grown. Israel is a very personal decision that I reserve for my children to make individually. As far as living there or anywhere, permanently; I believe my post reveals that I would eventually be happiest living in different locales in rotating six-month intervals… it’s one of those things that one can’t see until they say or write it out in an enlightened moment of Freudian slip.

Nick mentioned Wyoming… I actually really like Wyoming, maybe it’s the open space, or the lack of people… or maybe it’s just something as simple as the red-tinted highways (made from mixing with the local clay). I like the idea of Europe as well, but the recent rise in Muslim protesters demanding death to all who mock Islam, really “rubs me the wrong way”, as Nick would say. - DN

I agree with Wyoming, we went accross on our way to Montana last year. Empty interstate, empty spaces (I mean no people) wild horses, pink mountains and awesome storms...yeah, Wyoming is a good idea. When you talk about rotation, do you mean with the same places? I was thinking of your children...is it good for them to always change schools, friends and stuff ? But yeah, I know that children doesn't care moving when they live a happy life with their parents.
We're gonna do 6 months in Europe, 6 months in America when our children have "found their life" and my parents have "found their haeven"...Not tomorrow tho, hé hé!
