Daniel North creates images that refuse to stay still. Movement is his muse, movement is the purpose. His prolific production of nearly 200 paintings per year has garnered the attention of galleries and museums across North America.
Wow, North (oh and hi, it's been a while since I've responded) but I really like these. I could be completely wrong, but it seems that Missouri paintings seem to have elements of the styles you used in Montana as well as in New Mexico. the third reminds me of Wyoming a bit, as does the first. It's not as ugly as you'd think down here, but I'm sure it's just grand in St. Louis.ciaoNick
Actually these are all still paintings of western states, I've been digging through my old old photographs to round out my collection of scrolls for a this specific show which was supposed to emphasize traveling in the west. My Missouri paintings are stacking-up in another pile waiting to be photographed.I'm actually equal distance to both Memphis and St. Louis, but the southern influence of the region makes Memphis seem more accessible. - DN
Nice, I really LOVE the first one.
